Permatron's manufacturing capabilities include a
variety of metal forming, fabricating and assembly processes.
We will produce air filters framed in a variety of materials, in a
variety of thicknesses and configurations. Custom filtration
and air inlet needs can be met by varying the densities,
number of layers and types of media depending on air flow
restrictions, arrestance efficiencies required and budget
parameters.
Permatron has also added ultrasonic welding to their production capabilities. A fast and cost effective assembly method for manufacturing several types of electrostatic air filtration products, improves product lead times and labor costs. This "sewing machine" like equipment creates a continuous fused permanent seal or seam which will adhere multiple layers of electrostatic filtration media together to create one complete filter. Ring panels, sock filters and custom inlet filtration can be designed using a variety of media.

- Mount Rainier National Park
Two million people visitor Mount Rainier National Park each year and enjoy informative, educational presentations within the audio-visual room of the Henry M. Jackson Memorial Visitor Center at Paradise, located at an elevation of 5,400 feet on the south slope of Mount Rainier. Unfortunately, while enjoying the largest volcano in the magnificent Cascade Mountain Range, eruptions from Mount Rainier and other volcanoes in the Cascades have spread layers of very fine, abrasive volcanic ash over the entire region. When farmland gave way to the emerging field of commercial aviation in the mid-1920’s on Chicago’s southwest side, the city got its first airport, Midway. Expansion plans over the past decade include five runways, now covering over 650 acres of land. Midway Airport offers hundreds of domestic and international flights daily. Construction of the Pedway or people mover, an enclosed corridor that safely transports travelers directly to Midway from the rail station includes windows with louvers at the top and bottom for natural ventilation. Air filters were installed within the louvers to eliminate the potential for infiltration of rain, snow and other elements. Because the louvers open directly to the outside, it was specified that the filters could not disintegrate over time.
