Model IN Washable Electrostatic Commercial Air Filter

Dust Control with Low Resistance To Air Flow

From the paper mills on the west coast to the textile mills on the east coast, Model IN is the original industrial workhorse of permanent, washable electrostatic air filtration.   Designed for commercial  filtration applications where low resistance and washable cleanability is critical,  Model IN outperforms and outlasts metal mesh  panel filters in many applications.  The benefits of cleanability and long-term durability in high air velocity systems or caustic environments  gives you the least cost over useful life, energy efficiency and and environmentally friendly solution to your panel air filtration needs.

Model IN contains multiple layers of woven industrial polypropylene fabric with a high waffle construction. The Model IN is compatible with systems where high velocity air is pushed through limited filter surface areas. Customized wire reinforcement is available for clean-in-place maintenance programs. The Model IN air filter may be water rinsed or vacuumed for dirt removal.  Filter features FDA approved components for use in food service/processing applications.

Model IN utilizes Permatron's exclusive Accumulator ChamberĀ® design, consisting of two electrostatically charged fabric panels separated by our unique ACCUMULATOR CHAMBERĀ® produces a very effective three-stage filtration process. The first media panel (prefilter) attracts and holds airborne particulates. The filter fabric's inherent electrostatic charge enhances filtration by drawing particulates onto fiber surfaces like iron fillings onto a magnet. Static electricity, being static, does not flow like electrical current, and therefore does not discharge over time or require either grounding or insulation.  When particulates build up on the prefilter, airflow causes them to break off and be swept into the ACCUMULATOR CHAMBER, where turbulence and electrostatic forces cause agglomeration into even larger particulates. These agglomerated particulates are too large to pass through the second panel (afterfilter). The afterfilter attracts and holds the smaller particulates that may have escaped the prefilter, or do not respond to an electrostatic charge. Using a unitized filter bank design, our electrostatic filters promote free air flow with superior dust holding capacity while resisting face loading.  The filter's steel outer frame features strategically placed drain holes for thorough cleaning.

No system modifications or electrical hook-ups are needed. Model IN is available in any size you require up to 1,000 square inches. Over 1,000 square inches is available, but requires special handling, and is not recommended.  We recommend the filter be manufactured in 2 pieces and the frames butted together.    Available in a 1/2", 1" or 2" galvanized steel frame. Stainless steel is recommended for caustic environments.
