Activated Carbon Air Filters

Sulfur Dioxide, Ammonia, Hydrogen Sulfide, and Formaldehyde: These are all substances that are not only known to cause serious health risks to humans, but have also been found within homes and businesses at rates far higher than those that have been detected in the atmosphere. Fortunately, activated carbon air filters have the ability to adsorb these and other harmful chemicals from the environment. Blended with Alumina and Potassium Permanganate, Permatron's line of residential and commercial activated carbon air filters are noted not only for their ability to remove these dangerous substances from the air that is breathed by workers and families alike, but also for the thoroughness with which they destroy all traces of noxious fumes and odors, particularly those that have organic origins. Due to their exceptional cleaning ability and the manner in which they enhance the quality of life of those who reside in the buildings they help ventilate, Permatron's line of activated carbon air filters, including the CHARWR-PK and other panels, are preferred over other activated carbon brands by businesses in the food services and entertainment industries. Simply put, they remove the smells from restaurants, reception halls, and theaters that might otherwise make doing business impossible.

Though fundamentally effective, the power activated carbon air filters have over foul odors and toxins also depends on the surface area of each filter. This is because the increased physical exposure of filter media to the airflow of any given system multiplies the number of reactions that can take place with the molecules that must be removed from the environment. To take advantage of this fact yet be able to supply our customers with activated carbon air filters that can fit into even moderate sized ducts, Permatron offers a line of Pleated Activated Carbon Air Filters. Due to the greater surface area of each unit's filter media, they're able to remove far more toxins and odors from an air system than would otherwise be possible for a flat panel with similar outer dimensions. As the needs of each client differ, however, Permatron offers a full line of pleated filters, including the CHARPL-4, which has a filter depth of 4" and is coated with 100 grams of carbon per foot, and the heavy-duty CHARPLBXT, which also possesses a filter thickness of 4", but is coated in 375 grams of carbon and 375 grams of alumina per square foot. Sheltered in durable beverage board, these and other Permatron Activated Carbon Filters are easy for businesses to change out and replace after they've reached maximum absorption.

Another advantage of activated carbon as a filter media is that it can be combined with other materials that are used to maintain air quality, including electrostatic fibers. Incorporating both approaches, Permatron's DustPlus-1 Residential Air Filter makes use of electrostatic polypropylene that has been combined with an activated carbonpanel, giving this popular product an average arrestance rate of 78% as well as an enhanced ability to remove odors and particles from the environment. Ideal for residential properties of varying size, the DustPlus-1 is but one of the many Permatron filters that can help protect the health and quality of life of families that live in homes that may range from large apartment complexes to individually-owned properties.
