Flexible Vinyl Edged Electrostatic Air Filters

These 1/8" thick filters are made of layers of electrostatic polypropylene air filtration media which draws in and traps airborne particles. The natural electrostatic force is enhanced by air flow. As dust, pollen and dirt particles approach this electrostatic field they are drawn onto the fabric media much like iron filings attracted to a magnet. The units are permanent, washable and durably constructed to outlive the ventilation system in which they are installed. Standard and custom sizes are available with a flexible vinyl sewn around the media edge. Other media (i.e., non-woven polyester or foam) can be added to the filter configurations to increase arrestance efficiencies for almost any filtration application. Pull tabs can be added for easy access or velcro closures for wrap around filters.

Permatron also offers the fast and cost effective method of ultrasonic welding to finish the edges of polypropylene and other types of air filtration media. The "sewing machine" like equipment creates a continuous fused seal or seam which will adhere multiple layers of filtration media together to create one complete air filter. This method replaces adhesives and stitching to achieve a high quality bond. Ring panels, sock filters and hard to find replacement filters can be finished at substantial savings.
